Position Details

Burge Corporation is looking for a Superintendent to join our team. They will be responsible for all day to day construction operations onsite, including safety and financial performance, of a given project. They need the ability to assess problems and make decisions on behalf of Burge Corporation. The candidate we are looking for must be a strong leader, creative, innovative, accept and adapt to change and have a great attitude towards creating and maintaining relationships through every facet of a project to ensure the growth of Burge Corporation.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

This position reports to the Project Manager. Superintendent will work with other positions to obtain real world data from current and previous projects to better manage projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setup and maintain a safe and organized job site

  • Acquire and manage all building permits and other regulatory prerequisites

  • Direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on the schedule within budget and with

    quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications

  • Prepare and maintain construction schedule

  • Order materials and schedule inspections as necessary to complete the project

  • Promote and ensure jobsite safety, encourage safe work practices, rectify job site hazards and perform

    safety inspections and meetings to meet OSHA and Burge Corporation standards

  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other colleagues

  • Be able to communicate effectively and clearly to the project manager

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3-year experience in the role of superintendent on commercial projects

  • College degree in Construction preferred but not required

  • Experience with use of an iPad or tablet

  • Proficient in MS Office(Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Possession of valid driver’s license with automobile insurance meeting Burge Corporation’s criteria

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salaries and wages are based on experience/skill level and are competitive and negotiable.

  • Benefits include health insurance (60 days after employment with $300/month Burge Corp contribution), 401(k), and paid vacation and holidays.
