Our History
STARTING A BUSINESS
July 1st, license 338554 for a “B” General Building Contractor is issued to Dan Burge. Burge Corporation begins building custom residential homes in Southern California.
THE MARKET SHIFT
Burge Corporation makes a shift from custom residential home building to the commercial building market. Some of the first projects completed involved seismic rehabilitation and concrete tilt-up buildings. In later years, we would add an “A” engineering license.
DIVERSIFICATION
Seeing an opportunity to diversify, Burge Corporation enters the telecommunication market and begins building towers and structures for major carriers in this industry. We remain active in taking on new telecommunications projects to this day.
FOUR DECADES
We celebrated 40 years of building in Southern California. By implementing new systems and procedures and restructuring existing ones, we have positioned the company to have steady growth and stability for years to come. We will always stay honest and transparent with our clients as was instilled by Dan Burge from day one. We’re excited to continue building new and lasting relationships while expanding on ones we’ve already made.
